The main benefit of the WidePIX CHROMATIC 25 is its outstanding dynamic range. Thanks to its ability to capture energy range above 8keV and 24bit counter depth, it can capture 16,777,216 in each pixel. This allows users to use high flux without the image being overexposed.

The WidePIX CHROMATIC 25 was developed with sensitivity as first concern. Thanks to its wide field-of-view, it is suitable for imaging and differentiation of biological tissues and other light materials. This makes it a good choice for medical CTs, non-destructive testing and imaging of moving objects.

The detector offers to measure using the dual threshold mode. This allows for a spectrally sensitive image to be taken in a single measurement.

The Charge Summing Mode implemented in the pixel electronics provides hardware-based correction charge spread between pixels. This further considerably improves the detector spectral response and the quality of spectra measured in individual pixels.

The camera connects to a computer via five ethernet cables.
