MiniPIX BASIC Flex

The MiniPIX BASIC Flex (former name MiniPIX TPX Standard Flex) detector incorporates single Timepix detector (256 x 256 pixels with a pitch of 55 μm) with a sensor of 500 μm thick silicon. It is capable of reading up to 55 frames per second (with an exposure time of 1 ms). The Timepix detector is energy sensitive, bringing a new dimension to radiographic images.

The Flex solution removes the solid housing to adapt the detector for integration into large industrial systems. It is equipped with a 500 µm Silicone sensor layer.

The MiniPIX BASIC Flex detector is connected via USB interface. It is controlled in PIXet Pro software, which is provided for free. It runs on all major operating systems (MS Windows, Mac OS and LINUX). API integration into other systems is possible.

Descriptions

Where can you use the MiniPIX BASIC FleX photon-counting camera? For medical x-ray imaging, material analysis or radiation monitoring.

  • Crystallography: Energy dispersive XRD, SAXS, or WAXS. We can analyse even thick samples or internal structures.
  • Spectral gamma-ray imaging: Scintigraphy or SPECT, radiography with isotopes
  • Radiation monitoring: Particle type sorting, spectroscopy, directional sensitivity
  • Gamma camera: When combined with extra hardware (available upon request)
  • Compton camera: Gamma-ray imaging based on Compton scattering with special software module for image reconstruction
  • Particle physics research.
